Each year, Presbyterian Women selects a Home and Overseas project to support through the PW Mission Fund. These projects are selected by the PW Panel and reflect the missional heart of our organisation.
Special Home
Project
Through the PW Mission Fund, Presbyterian Women’s Special Home Project for 2020/21 will support the work of CARE NI (Christian Action Research and Education).
Our Special Home Project for 2020/21 will specifically support projects called ‘Loved’ and ‘Open’ which provide miscarriage support for both women and men. This project will meet a very significant need in the lives of many.
Special Overseas
Project
In November 2019, the PW President, Karen Craig, visited Nepal where she met staff in Okhaldhunga Community Hospital. Established as a small clinic in 1962, the hospital now provides affordable, quality health care to people from surrounding villages who come seeking assistance. It is now a 50 bed facility, with a Mothers' Waiting Home (for women who travel from distant areas to be near the hospital before their delivery), operating facilities and a busy Outpatients' Department.
Presbyterian Women’s Special Overseas Project for 2020/21 will support the work of this home.
